The Camputers Lynx were very popular in the UK at mid-80s. Home 8-bit computers Lynx were released in 1983 and had only 48 KB of RAM. During the next years Lynx were improved with 96, 128 and even 192 KB by expanding the motherboard. The computer was equipped with the Zilog Z80A processor with a frequency of 4 Mhz and had a Motorola 6845 video driver. It was even possible to run CP/M operating system with the optional 5” ¼ drive, mostly used on the 96 and 128 Kb models.
The development and production of Camputers Lynx didn’t last for long, despite being well featured compared to competitor models of the time it had high price and lack of software, which lead to the end of production. However, some cool games were released for the Camputers Lynx such as: 3D Monster Craze, Centipede, Gobble De Spook, Diggerman and others.
